Megan Zarnitz, a native of Sidney, Ohio, began her career nearly 10 years ago as a case manager for the homeless for AIDS Volunteers of Cincinnati. Her career includes of mix of diverse experiences serving global clients as a former transitional housing manager and medical case manager for Caracole and working with Habitat for Humanity in Bangladesh on advocacy development.
With a Master’s Degree in International Social Work from Boston College and a Bachelor’s of Science in Social Work from Xavier University, Zarnitz is active in the community. She serves on the board of the Greater Cincinnati Homeless Coalition and the Young Non-Profit Professionals Network. Previously, she’s served as an International Peer Mentor at Xavier University and as a Refugee tutor in Cincinnati.
She joined Catholic Charities in 2015 as the Director of Refugee Resettlement where she leads a 12-person team serving more than 300 refugees.
